Living at the convergence of faith and art.

Lew Curtiss / Visual ArtistWelcome to Creative Harmonies: Living at the Convergence of Faith & Art.

My name’s Lew Curtiss. I’m a Seattle-based visual artist working in Collage/Mixed-Media.  I began this blog to join the conversation of Faith & Art.  There are a lot of books, blogs, and articles being written about what the convergence of Faith & Art really looks like and how that convergence is lived out in the daily practice of making art.

Make no mistake, I do not make “Christian Art,” whatever that is.  I am a Christian.  I am an artist. I make faith-driven art through the lens of my Christian worldview.  My heroes are the likes of Madeleine L’Engle, Christ (wrist) Otto, Dick Staub, Gregory Wolfe, Mako Fujimura, Bruce Herman, Julia Cameron, Betty Edwards, Austin Kleon, Manuel Luz, and many others.

I’m glad you’ve stopped by to take in some of the conversation.  I hope you find nourishment and nurture.  If you want to see my artwork, pop on over to Lew Curtiss/Visual Artist.  If you’re interested in how and why I make the art I do, you might want to read my StudioNotes while you’re there.

Thank you for your visit, Lew Curtiss/Visual Artist
